News and Results for Saturday 25th March.

Lions – Two great games from the lions today winning both on the worst pitch I’ve ever seen. Grass was up to my knees I kid you not. Great football from start to finish from all boys. 7 well taken goals from Owen (2) dj (2) Marcel (2) Jamie (1). Motm was a hard one as all boys played well. I gave it to two boys as I couldn’t split them so half a week each with the trophy for dj and Jaime. None stop running and great first touches from both boys

Falcons – Drew with FC Strikerz  (Strikerz won on pens) conceded a goal last minute but the boys did really well. Finally got 9/10 regulars now so onwards and upwards

Kestrels – A fantastic win today for the Kestrels against FC Strikerz Wolves in what I thought was one of our best performances. In every department we showed how far we have come as a team – electrifying attacking play, a tough tackling and composed midfield, defensively very strong and mobile. MOTM Harry – played brilliantly in attack and defence, one to watch.

Wildcats – Today played Goldborne Girls and came out as winners. Went behind 1-0 in the first 15mins but found composure, steadied themselves and fought back to level the scores for half time. A hammer of a strike from Jeff Crilly from 25yards out in the 2nd half sealed the win. The most complete team display I have seen in a while means the Managers MOtM is shared amongst them all. Opposition MOtM was awarded to Gracie Red.

Hawks – Two great games from Hawks today, in long grass, big pitch and sunshine. Won versus North Walkden, after going 2nil down, Won versus Bromley Cross after going 1nil down. MotM Alex stuck to his job and some great saving tackles

Pumas – Worked hard in another two tough fixtures this morning. Joseph sparked a recovery after going down with a super turn and finish in the first game against Turton Tigers but the boys just run out of time to grab the win – final score draw. Slender defeat against Strykerz didn’t take the shine off a great mornings football in the sun. MotM to Bobby for some great saves and constant encouragement between the sticks.

Panthers – Won in the cup against Lancashire Academy. MOTM Adam.

Sharks – Lost 3-2 to North Walkden.

Tigers – Lost out in a ding dong cup match against Roach Dynamos Greens.  MOTM Raquami.
