Falcons beat Turton Tigers.

Probably our best performance yet against a big, strong (and very competitive) outfit.  With no subs on a big, heavy pitch everyone dug in and some of the last ditch defending at the end was superb.   Created the clearer chances though and fully deserved to win overall.

Raiders beat Radcliffe Warriors.
Raiders got their noses in front early on through the ever improving Ethan and kept it that way throughout. The warriors proved to be a very good team and kept coming back. A brace of goals from Ollie put some breathing space between the teams, but again they came back. Tyler then took all the points from training to run the length of the pitch with power and speed to seal the win. Special praise to Luca who was fantastic in net and deserving of the man of the match.
Kestrels lost to Moss Bank
A disappointing result for the Kestrels today. Lots of endeavour and effort saw us take the lead with a sweet strike from Haris plus lots of other scoring opportunities thwarted by the goalkeeper. We found lots of good positions but had a tendency to snatch at our shots or hold onto the ball too long. A late deflected strike at the stroke of half time saw Moss Bank take a draw into the break. Early in the second half the opposition took the initiative. Long balls, tall players and some clean shooting saw them take the lead quite early, beating the ’keeper at the near post. A headed goal from a corner and a couple of other clean strikes saw them finish the game as winners. We continued to have chances with Alex, Daniel, Haris, Raquami and Keane all getting in good positions but to no avail. MoTM given to Nathan – great awareness, anticipation and communication.
Hard luck today Kestrels
Panthers won in last 16 of the cup.
Hawks drew with Adlington
Great game, slow start saw a hungry Adlington team getting first to the ball and stronger in the challenge. Hawks battled back from 4nil down to get it level, great reaction from the boys, and some very impressive Fortnite dances for each of the goal celebrations. MotM Jack keeping things ticking over with his drive and enthusiasm.
Giants best Seedfield .
No goalkeeper for the first ten mins so one of the players stood in, started off well with giants getting it to 4-0 Faris Jaiden scoring and Theo scoring from his net , Seedfield came back out and got 3 goals back. Players changed positions and they went and scored a few more goals from Faris n Jaiden. Both Tyler’s in defence making sure they don’t get past.. Man of the match today was Faris and Theo .
Jaguars beat Roach Dynamos Green.
Another great performance from the boys this morning. Up against a well established Roach team we started well and took a very early lead, some fantastic passing play from Ben in Midfield and Luca up front. Our wingers Max and Freddy once again used the ball wisely to deliver some superb crosses as the team spent most of the first period in the opposition half. 2 worldie free kicks followed, the first Freddy from a central position hit a peach into the top right hand corner followed shortly after by Luca out wide on the left also hitting top bins. Half time 1-3. The second half saw our defence come more into play with Ned, Sam and Lewis (GK) all making good challenges to clear danger but our counter attacks paid off and more goals followed. Supporting roles today from James, Theo and Lucas who were awesome. MOTM Ned for his desire to clear danger. Hat trick for Luca. Well done boys.
