Kestrels beat Turton Tigers.
A very convincing win against a robust and well-drilled Turton side. A bit cold and windy but nothing major, sheltered a bit at Powerleague so no safeguarding issues. An outstanding performance from Daniel. His 4 goals earning him today’s well-deserved man of the match award (I need to buy one). One from Raquami and another from Joe (right foot!) putting the game well out of reach. Callum stepped up as keeper and performed very well in what were freakishly large nets. Some great distribution as well started some quick attacks.
Ethan, Nathan, Myles all putting a solid shift in defence. Ethan also continuing his great run in the middle. Keane, Wilson, Harry non-stop up front – always running, looking for passes and pressing a pack. Looking formidable and hounding the opposition into making errors.
Pumas beat Radcliffe Juniors.
All wrapped up and full of the usual high spirits, Puma’s eased through this cup qualifier. New signing Isaac continues to impress, his power reinforcing an already steely midfield. Alex and man of the match, Arian, at the heart of everything, and Dayne always a threat with his skill and pace down the left side. Highlight of the game a ten pass sequence on the edge of the box, a wonderful lay off and nearly the perfect finish, the strike just missing the right stick. Lovely football. Greater challenges will come in this cup campaign – the Puma’s are looking forward to them.
Tigers lost to Chadderton Park.
