Jaguars lost to Roach Dynamos.
First home game for the boys today and once again some really encouraging signs that the boys are taking their training into the game. Up against a strong Roach Dynamos team we took the lead with a really well worked goal Freddy neatly passing to Luca. A second quickly followed after some great passing this time Luis and Lucas on the wings working well. It remained goal for goal after that in the first half. With 12 players all available regular substitutions took place and we lost positional focus in the second half and Roach players ran with the ball a few too many times, but we’re learning and having Fun. MOTM Luca for another hat trick and special mention for Ned and Mateusz in defence, they’re becoming Little Rock’s
A win against Bridgewater at our winter venue. A very convincing victory with very few chances given to the opposition. The defence was well-organised, midfield and the wings consistently strong, rotating to offer variety, chances and goals. Clinical up-front. Two MOTM awards today – Myles for keeping things well-organised at the back and really importantly communicating with his team mates when the opposition were attacking. Dominik in goal, pulling off some outstanding saves, keeping the score down, distributing the ball well and listening to instructions. Well played overall, showing great strength in depth and ability to play in a variety of positions. Goals – Haris 3, Keane 2, Joe 1, Dan 1, OG 1
Wildcats Drew with A&T Lionessess
An infuriating game where in the first 15mins we were brill, next 15 we were rubbish, and then we spent the whole of the second half slowly coming back on pure animal determination rather than the style of football we been doing so well at in training.
Went behind by a goal 10mins in, came back 5 mins later when a goalmouth scramble from our corner resulted in an og. They went on to score 2 more, toebung from 20yards and loose marking on a corner tap in. Just before half time we grabbed 1 back from Arshia with a her first goal in club colours.
Second half saw the girls grow into the game and a well struck ball by Jeff drew us level. The last 10 mins being one of the most heart pounding games we have been involved in, as both teams had chances, but ultimately non converted.
The Ref, thought the game brilliant, The refs Dad thought the game brilliant. I thought the girls showed amazing grit and composition bring the score back from 2 down to draw level. MoTM both opposition and Managers deservedly awarded to Adanze.
Falcons lost to Mossbank Whites.
Good test against a team from the next group up. Bit of a fiesty encounter but the team held their own and were a little bit unlucky to lose, good performances all round and very happy with how things are progressing.
Tigers lost to Chadderton Park Eagles. Motm Neco
Hawks lost to Adlington JFC.
Against a good team with a strong squad the boys dug deep and maintined pressure throughout, unlucky to not hit the target with several clean strikes. That’s the next training session sorted 😉. Some great close passing and
deft touches from Kayden but MotM to Glyn stepping up for the team and brave in nets 2nd half.
Raiders lost to Milnrow Eagles.
Raiders unlikely to play a better side this season than the tough and talented Milnrow. Two each after a very tight first period, the strength of the opposition started to show although Kian and Tyler in particular showed excellent resolve throughout, and the boys never gave up. Kian and Luca both gave a good performance in goal. Great test for the boys and plenty to work on. Well done Raiders.
Pumas lost to Radcliffe Borough Bulls.
Pumas, still depleted through illness, came up against a very physical Radcliffe side today. Competed well for the first half, had chances to take the lead only to be hit on the counter for the first. Second goal from Radcliffe was a good strike but result flattered. Man of the match to Bobby for a sturdy performance between the sticks. Not quite getting the rub since going up a section, expect a reaction from Puma’s very soon.
