Up bright and early for an Emeralds game against our good friends at Winton Wildcats. The Emeralds started strong and Sophie scored a few and could have had some more but we were winning and that was the important thing. Winton grew into the game and some defensive errors meant that our first clean sheet still alludes us. Half time came and the game was still either sides to have however, the Emeralds came out sharp and looked the real deal after the talk. The Emeralds came out strong in the second half and if it wasn’t for the keeper could have been comfortably in the lead. Going into the last 10 minutes it was close and nervy but Hattie’s goal seemed to put the game beyond doubt. Scarlett added to the score line and Orla scored her first goal in her best performance to date. Things to work on without doubt but much better from the Emeralds, onwards and upwards Emeralds.
